Service Club

SCC Community Service Club

Saratoga Central Catholic School’s Community Service Club is a student-led group with the SCC Community that looks to serve our community, our school, God, and each other. Advised by SCC’s Campus Minister, Ms. Douglass, we aim for a monthly service opportunity as well as quarterly service projects. In the past we have served at monthly soup kitchens. We have also organized “Birthday in a Bag” donations for Franklin Community Center, participated in the “Polar Plunge” for Special Olympics, helped with the “The Great Pumpkin
Challenge” for Saratoga Bridges, “Breakfast with Santa” for the Christmas season, the Giving Circle’s annual fundraiser at the Canfield Casino and served at many more local organizations.

Students may join the service club at any time during the year. They can also receive community service hours towards their personal school requirement. This group helps to motivate, build confidence, teach teamwork and create a sense of pride in each student.

At our meetings, we push for personal growth and leadership skills that come along with the responsibility of organizing projects. Our members, in grades 6–12, are active in the community and receive the joy that comes from serving others.
