Catholic Schools Week is a special time for prospective families to explore the many benefits of a Catholic education, and Saratoga Central Catholic School is excited to invite prospective families to attend our tours on January 31st and February 1st, 2023. From 9:00 am to noon, families will have the opportunity to see the school in action, meet our dedicated teachers and staff, and learn more about the many ways in which a Catholic education can help their child thrive.
Here are just a few of the many reasons why families should consider attending our Catholic Schools Week Tours:
Quality Education
Our school provides a strong academic program that is rooted in the Catholic faith. Students receive a well-rounded education that includes not only traditional subjects such as math, science, and English, but also classes in religion, business, art, music, and physical education. SCC offers Advanced Placement (AP) courses, and recently introduced new partnerships with Siena College and Maria College, which afford our students the opportunity to earn college credit while still in high school. We strive to provide an education that will prepare students for success in college and in life.

Small Class Sizes
SCC offers small class sizes with a student to teacher ratio of 8 to 1. This allows for personalized attention and individualized instruction, ensuring that each student receives the support and guidance they need to succeed academically and personally.
Strong Sense of Community, #SCCFamily
Our school community is closely knit and supportive, with a strong emphasis on serving others. Families are encouraged to get involved in school activities and events, and there are many opportunities to build relationships with other families and members of the community.
In 2021 a group of parents started the SCC Spirit Organization, which is a parent-organized group hosting fun events for our community throughout the year. Some of the events we've had this year include our Back-to-School Block Party, Brunch & Bowl, and our Halloween Costume Competition!

Extracurricular Activities
Our school offers a wide range of extracurricular activities, including 17 varsity sports teams, music and theater programs, and 20 clubs and organizations. These activities provide opportunities for students to explore new interests, develop new skills, and make friends with like-minded individuals.

Catholic Values
As a Catholic school, Saratoga Central Catholic is committed to teaching and modeling the Catholic faith. Students receive a faith-based education that helps them to widen their perspective on life and develop strong moral values. Theology classes are integrated into students' schedules and students also participate in Mass and other religious services throughout each month. We encourage our students to put their faith into action through service projects and community outreach.
This past October, our Student Council collected over 800 pairs of socks in their "Socktober" drive and donated them to various local charities in our community.
Every year, our National Honor Society hosts a school-wide charity basketball tournament called "Hoops for Hope", which raises money for different causes in our community.
