Choosing the right middle/high school for your child is an important decision that can have a lasting impact on their future. With so many options available, it can be challenging to determine which school is the best fit. At Saratoga Central Catholic School (SCC), we understand that this decision is not one to take lightly.

Academic Programs

One of the most critical factors in selecting a middle/high school is the academic program. Look for a school that offers a challenging and comprehensive curriculum that will prepare your child for college and beyond. SCC offers a rigorous academic program that includes advanced placement (AP) courses, as well as opportunities for dual enrollment with local colleges.

Recently, SCC has launched new partnerships with Siena College and Maria College where students can earn college credit while still in high school. With a variety of college courses to choose from, SCC students can earn up to 24 credits through our Siena College Partnership!

Extracurricular Activities

In addition to academics, extracurricular activities can play a significant role in your child's educational experience. Look for a school that offers a range of activities that align with your child's interests and passions. SCC provides numerous extracurricular options, including sports teams, clubs, and service opportunities.

Class Size

The size of the school and the class sizes can impact the quality of education that your child receives. Smaller class sizes often lead to more individualized attention from teachers and a more supportive learning environment. SCC has a low student-to-teacher ratio, ensuring that every student receives personalized attention from faculty.

Faculty

A school's faculty plays a significant role in your child's education. Look for a school with experienced and dedicated teachers who are passionate about their work.

Saratoga Central Catholic teachers show great care for our students, and truly are devoted to the success of each individual. Through personalized, one-on-one attention and strong mentorship, our teachers, coaches, and community members give our students the confidence they need to succeed.

Values and Culture

The values and culture of a school can shape your child's character and worldview. Consider a school's mission statement, values, and traditions when making your decision. SCC is a Catholic school that instills Catholic values, such as compassion, respect, and service, in its students. Our school community is supportive, inclusive, and welcoming to families of all faiths.

Mission Statement:

"Saratoga Central Catholic School seeks to enlighten, inspire, and nurture the minds, hearts, and souls of our students in academic excellence based on the teachings of Jesus Christ in the Catholic tradition."

College Placement

Ultimately, the goal of a middle/high school education is to prepare students for college and future success. Look for a school with a track record of success in college placement. 100% of our graduates are accepted into college and our most recent classes have earned over $9 million dollars worth of scholarships!
